Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco City Tour

Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be met by one of our representatives, who will take you to your hotel so you can settle in comfortably. Once there, you will receive a brief briefing to learn more about your stay and have the morning free to acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy your surroundings.

In the afternoon, you will begin your exploration of the enchanting Imperial City of Cusco, a living testimony to the fusion of Andean and Spanish culture. We will visit the Convent of Santo Domingo, built over the ancient Koricancha Temple, which was the main center of worship to the Sun God during the Inca Empire. We will admire the magnificent architecture that combines Inca majesty with Spanish influence.

We will continue our tour to the imposing archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman, famous for its Inca architecture and imposing stone structures that dominate the city. Here, we will marvel at the skill and ingenuity of the ancient Inca builders.

Next, we will explore the enigmatic archaeological sites of Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay, located on the outskirts of the city. These places, with their intriguing architecture and historical significance, will transport us to past times full of mystery and spirituality.

At the end of our day of exploration, we will return to the main square where our first activity will end.

Day 2: Cusco – Chinchero – Moray – Las Salinas – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

The tour begins with the pick up of the group at 6:30 am, we will go to our first point to visit Chinchero, we will visit its traditional market and the archaeological center. There, we will be able to observe the impressive Inca architecture, the cultivation areas, we will admire the incredible agricultural terraces, there, we will spend about 1 hour, exploring this Inca citadel.

Next, we will visit the archaeological site of Moray, also known as “The greenhouses of the Incas”. It consists of an evolving bowl of ecological terraces. The terraces are carved out of a huge basin, which were excavated by the Incas for agricultural purposes. The terraces have varied microclimates depending on the depth of the basin. It is believed that the Incas used them to discover the ideal growing conditions for their different crops. We will also visit the salt mines known as SALINERAS DE MARAS. This place was of great importance in the PRE INKA – INKA- COLONIAL times and nowadays. The inhabitants of the town benefit from the salt extracted from these mines.

We will continue our tour heading to the village of urubanba where we will have a delicious lunch (buffet) finally we will arrive to Ollantaytambo, having time to explore the ancient and bustling Inca town next to the huge Inca ruins, with a tour provided by our guide. We will then take the train to Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 3: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

In the exciting closing of our trip, we will head by bus to the emblematic archaeological site of Machu Picchu. During a journey of approximately 2 hours, we will immerse ourselves in the beauty of this World Cultural Heritage Site and Wonder of the World, exploring each of its nooks and crannies in detail. Our expert guide will accompany us, making sure we make the most of this unique experience as we tour the majestic ruins and ancient streets.

After our visit to Machu Picchu, we will head to Aguas Calientes, where we will have free time to enjoy lunch on our own before boarding the train back to Cusco. We will have the option to choose between the Expedition train departure times, scheduled for 14:22 or 15:23. Once we arrive at the Ollantaytambo train station, our private transportation will be waiting to take us back to Cusco, closing this unforgettable experience with the comfort and service that characterizes us.
