Tour Details

Salkantay Trek 4 days is a short version of the entire trail that takes you to Machu Picchu. If you do not have enough time to do the five-day version, this option is perfect for you because you will enjoy the best part of the Salkantay Trek. The first three days are the same as the 5-day trek. The whole group on the third day arrives at the Santa Teresa camp around 13:00 pm for lunch, people who have four days of walking after lunch will continue by car to the hydroelectric plant for 45 more minutes, then they will walk 3 hours to along the train tracks to Aguas. Town of Calientes. Once you arrive in town, we take you to the accommodation, and at dinner, you will join another group that started the hike a day before you, for dinner and the next day’s tour of Machu Picchu. Sometimes we have enough people to make groups of 4 days just people. In this case, you will travel only with people and guides who are doing only the four-day program. This option is excellent for those adventurers who want to hike Salcantay and Machu Picchu in 4 days. You will enjoy the mountains, lagoons, glaciers, jungle and much more. The only difference between the 5-day program is that you do not have time to do the Santa Teresa thermal baths and there is no time to do the Llactapata trekking that takes you to the site. Inca of Llactapata to see Machu Picchu a day before.
